Meaningful Growth Through Change

Pros

1Password is growing quickly, and for those new to this kind of environment, that pace can be frustrating and stressful. I’ve personally felt both the excitement and the strain that come with rapid growth. That said, working here has been an incredible journey, from the early, scrappy days of moving as fast as possible to more recent efforts to slow down, address tech debt, and mature as an organization. The company has gone through leadership changes, which can feel uncomfortable and destabilizing at times. However, those changes are also intentional and necessary. Leaders have joined at different stages of the company’s growth, each bringing what’s needed for that phase of the business. From my perspective, GTM is in good hands, and the company is slowly growing out of its “teenage” years. I stay because I’ve grown here, and I continue to learn every day from the people around me. Even when changes are frustrating or uncomfortable, they tend to push into the next phase of progress, which makes the journey worthwhile. Pros -Opportunity to grow and learn quickly alongside talented, thoughtful, and motivated colleagues - Strong sense of ownership and impact, especially during periods of change -Leadership evolves with the company’s stage, rather than staying static -Meaningful work that feels like it’s building toward something real

Cons

Cons *For some, rapid growth can be stressful and perceived as a con, especially for those unfamiliar with scale-up environments, but for others, it's a motivator. *Change (process, leadership, priorities) is frequent and not always smooth, and through change we learn and develop within our role and knowledge. *Periods of ambiguity while the company adjusts
