Pros

As a manager, the flexibility to plan a meeting with a friend or randomly get something done in the middle of the day was nice. Things could sometimes be moved around to let you get other things done even if they popped up last minute.

Cons

1. The company has messed up management payout for the last 3 months straight and would take money back 1 week and call you up saying you were getting an extra pay check next week. Very poor accounting skills. 2. The upper management DOES NOT support their managers. They "hold you accountable" and will write you up for doing something wrong, but they don't help TEACH you how to do what you aren't good at. 3. As a manager there is NO down time. You are always on call and in the stores more than 40 hours a week. The upper management make you feel bad for not working every day. 4. The company says ethics is a huge part of their culture and it's not. I saw a manager get kicked off of the Verizon FiOS program specifically for placing fraudulent sales and instead of firing this person for committing fraud they just moved him onto the Samsung program. 5. the entire time I worked here getting ahold of HR for support with problems was never easy. the only time I got a fast response was when I attempted to collect something promised to me by my manager and his boss and HR was quick to respond that "both parties say that was never promised".

Pros

Samsung Corporate employees you get to work with are awesome. Pay.

Cons

Everything else. 2020 Companies doesn't care about their employees as people. They see you as a tool to be used and discarded. Benefits are terrible. Vacation policies are awful. Accrued Time Off supposedly, well, accrues, but often does not reflect in what you as an employee can see. Field managers dont know company's own policies. Has to fight to get bereavement, and even then was made to use ATO instead of free bereavement time (which the employee handbook said i get...) Threatened to withhold last paycheck until I returned equipmemt, in violation of my states labor laws, even though it has already been shipped.

Pros

Support samsung. Lots of variety. Not standing in one retail location for hours

Cons

So I was turned on to this company by somebody else. I heard they were launching a new program in merchandising. I was contacted by a recruiter and was hired on the spot. I completed by training online and was told I'd be contacted by my DM regarding a training day and/or first day of work. Well I was told one person was my DM but was contacted by a different person who was apparently the real DM. We spoke for a bit but nothing regarding training. The next day I see that I have visits scheduled. Well... what am I suppose to do?? I've completed the surveys for each retail location as given, but the surveys some stores can take literally minutes. So what's next? I've literally driven over 200 miles in two days and was gone for a full 8 hours yesterday, but will only get paid for the time I'm in the stores. So MAYBE 3 or 4 hours if that, plus mileage. I just can't see that justifying the wear and tear on my car and oil for what I'm paid. Which is just $10/hr... I'm just not sure what to think right now. This is a secondary job for me, but would LOVE to support samsung. So this is my impression after being with the company for just a week! I truly hope it gets better, but after another week or so of no direction, I can't continue to drive 300 or so miles per week for this.
