Not great, but could be worse

Pros

The company gives monthly days off. You get free 2K games when they come out. The game industry is largely recession-proof.

Cons

Teams don't plan adequately, so requirements are often sparse and not well defined. The environment can be political with teams pointing the finger at other teams for not delivering on time. HR is kind of clueless about company deadlines as they make their own reviews due during crunch time. The hours can be brutal as well because of a lack of planning. It's hard to take time off without feeling guilty because of the constant onslaught of work.
