Pros

good pay because they are an agency for big fish like Microsoft and Adobe

Cons

1. lacking D.EI. greatly. Very discriminating all the way up to HR. literally on my last week, the white guy got a farewell meeting while the Asian girl is told to hurry up and hand off. Plus they immediately try to fill the position without any regard to feelings. 2. performance is based on realization rate which is based strictly on what sales decide to price deliverables. There is no merit on how you are performing within your current position. 3. PMO has zero sense of teamwork or consistency. Processes are insanely random and if you suggest, be careful. They will shut you down or tell you "you can do things that way, but we wont" 4. no matter what experience you come with, they won't trust your skillset. it's all about 10 year and letting them teach you for 2 years before you're promoted to anything. 5. sales has zero respect for delivery. dates on sows are constantly incorrect, SOWs and client comms are randomized and PMs can be kept out of the loop without regard, but no one has a problem throwing you under the bus. 6. no resource constraint concerns. Tech Leads can get sick and literally be saying we cannot take on anymore, but the leadership team has a certain milestone amount they want to hit and give incentives to employees to work over weekends rather than caring at all about work life balance. My Passion when I interviewed was that work life balance for my team was highest priority and no one cares at 3Sharp. This makes TLs disrespectful and frustrated not creating an ideal PM and engineering relationship. 7. upper management has a lot of work to do. jokes are outdated, people get insulted, and no one cares. DEI literally started and stopped because upper management didn't want to "stop their jokes". Upper management also includes two women, and you would think some things would change for the better for the feminine gender, but no. they continue to push masoginistic prerogatives.

Excellent culture, but some growing pains

Pros

3Sharp is a great place to work. The culture and collaborative atmosphere is fantastic and everyone feels equally committed to getting work done, but it's also a place with a ping-pong table (a questionable perk in most companies) where employees are actively encouraged to take breaks and play a game. Salaries are good across all roles and the benefits are excellent, especially for the size of the company. Leadership is extremely transparent about their finances and how those feed into the quarterly profit-sharing bonuses. Though the company is still small there are plenty of opportunities for internal growth, and it often only takes a few years for a capable employee to go from an entry-level position to owning major business opportunities -- with salary to match.

Cons

- much of the company's business is dependent on contracts with specific teams or people inside large companies, which shift and change priorities due to business needs and office politics. Despite this inherent instability 3Sharp as a company has remained quite stable, and even grown consistently, but the risk is always there. - those contacts alternate between desperately needing everything you can give them and making constant demands on your time, and completely ignoring you because they have bigger priorities. Often the former happens when you're busy while the latter happens when you don't know what you're supposed to be doing. - 3Sharp is rarely the big dog in contract work and often ends up saddled with scope creep that was well outside the initial project, but what are you gonna do. - related to the above but there will always be a few projects that were scoped to "build business", which means they'll go well over-budget and require substantial extra work from everyone involved for an effort that may or may not result in future business.

Pros

I'm always learning. If there is one thing I know about the kind of work that we have here at 3Sharp is that it will be challenging and I'll learn something along the way. Very inclusive environment and people. We come from different walks of life but we all rally around our love of technology and producing world class demos. We've all got each others backs and seem to find a good balance of working hard while still maintaining a healthy work / life balance.

Cons

There isn't enough parking spaces for everyone unfortunately but, we rotate passes and take turns sharing the parking spaces.
