Co-Manager position

Pros

You learn many aspects of business in this position, building relationships with customers, working hard and at the end of the day you leave feeling like you earned your pay

Cons

Training new people with zero experience over and over again, promoting to manager can be a long process waiting for a decent store to open up

Thank you for the comments on learning the business, working with customers and the hard work of running a lumberyard. CO-Managers work with new associates to get them trained. Most associates that come to 84 Lumber do not have prior knowledge of lumber and building materials. Your role was vital in getting new associates trained. You do not have to wait for a "decent store". Once you become a manager you can turn the store into a good store if it isn't one already.
