Pros

The benefits package is fairly robust, offering a selection of health plans and unlimited paid time off (PTO), including volunteering time off. Additionally, the compensation tends to be above the industry average. However, beyond these perks, there isn't much else offered.

Cons

Marketing has lost its strategic focus. Priorities constantly shift without clear justification, and the new leadership seems to rely on a "throw it and see" approach. There's a lack of coherent direction behind asks; it's all about getting things done quickly rather than strategically planning. The sudden changes, often without sufficient notice, made it challenging to develop comprehensive plans. Moreover, the new CMO's decision to replace seasoned experts with acquaintances unfamiliar with our processes, SLAs, or available resources has only worsened the situation, and oftentimes caused friction among departments because of the blatant disregard for other department’s priorities or initiatives. Issues are escalated indiscriminately, solely because they originate from the top, exacerbating the chaos permeating every aspect of our work. The credibility gap is glaring, evident in the departure of highly qualified leaders who either left voluntarily or were pushed out. Since the arrival of the new leadership, turnover in the marketing department has surged, underscoring the deteriorating morale and cultural shift. Trust in leadership is at an all-time low, prompting many, including myself, to opt out before conditions worsen. The department operates in perpetual chaos, with everything labeled a top priority. Time zones and calendars are completely disregarded, forcing late-night meetings with colleagues in different regions, and constant meeting shuffling. Work-life balance is no longer feasible; success is measured by relentless work throughout the week, extending into late hours and weekends. Previously, the company provided four rejuven8 days annually, during which the entire organization would shut down for collective rejuvenation. However, since the appointment of the new Chief Human Resources Officer, these days were reduced to two per year. While it's better than having none, it's still a noticeable cutback. Additionally, there's a transition towards a hybrid work model for those living near an office, mandating one day per week in the office.
