Pros

Great new equipment, fair pay, and excellent retirement benefits. I have been with company for 20years now. Family that owns company actually seems to care about there employees!

Cons

They try to fit large trailers in areas that were not designed for them. Most of Brooklyn NY should be covered by box trucks, but they still insist on delivering with 45' trailers.

Opportunities to move up in the company. Fast paced environment and opportunity to learn. Decent training program.

Cons

Too much work for too little pay. If you are efficient and do well, more and more is piled on without any increase in an already insufficient salary. Management picks favorites. They expect you to come into work even during major snow or ice storms.

I did like my job. I also met some great people to help me get questions answered.

Cons

Long hours in the middle of the day. No work life balance for management or the full time dock workers. You work from 10 or 11 am until done. No real time to leave the dock and go home. Then management has even more work to do afterwards. If a holiday falls on a Friday or Monday be prepared to do terminal checks all weekend long.
