Pros

Fantastic benefits. Bereavement leave was generous (and unexpected).

Cons

Terrible and confrontational culture full of intimidation, favoritism, high-level incompetence and arrogance that is unwarranted considering everything we do is failing. Not a diverse environment, and company refuses to invest in modern infrastructure - computer situation is straight from the 1990's.

Politics + Flat Out Lies = Chaos At Work

Pros

Learn new technologies, in the right department growth is available, most people below Manager are friendly and willing to help.

Cons

Too much focus on politics, lying, throwing people under the bus to cover mistakes instead of getting the job done. Strong push for new technology, but very difficult to get funding for resources when needed. HR is helpful to listen, but not much comes out of it. Little regard to life outside of the office. Overtime is very hard to get, but those who are staff are expected to work the extra hours because it's "free".

Pros

Found some of hardest working folks who gave everything they had to getting the job done. Company is small enough to offer an inside view of how a media company works. Fun to work for a brand that is easily recognized.

Cons

My title says it all. Morale and fairness are cultivated from the top - down. This was not the case when I was there. Senior Management was nasty and their nastiness was rewarded. HR was equally as nasty and unqualified to deal with situations.
