Upper management doesn’t get it. Given PTO but everyone is pressured to never take it . EVER.

Thank you for being a part of the APFM team and for all the hard work you do helping families find the best senior living options. We appreciate your taking the time to leave a review. We are always working to make our Company better and your input will help us do that. We base our quota goals on an average 40 hour week, but rely on our advisors to properly record overtime hours, which we always pay. We take that obligation seriously. Eligible employees are encouraged to use their PTO with manager approval. In fact, unlike most sales roles, our compensation plan awards points during PTO. You should address your specific concerns with your manager or email HR (hr@aplaceformom.com) so we can address your concerns one-on-one. If you prefer, we have a 24/7 anonymous hotline that is hosted by a third party that is available to all employees to report any concerns. The hotline can be found on the HR site and in the Employee Handbook. Thank you again for your feedback and all you do to help families!

Pros

Great coworkers who support and cover for each other. 5 star IT team.

Cons

Horrific current new management (Central California team) with no idea of how business works. Both of our managers were promoted from within and are guessing their way through their new role as they do not have business degrees/training. Instead, they insist on working towards tiring metrics and constant busy work to waste our time, while our moves (actual sales) are dropping quickly. I have been with this company for years and have never seen anything like the current culture of micromanagement, constant bullying, threatening and throwing our tenured employees under the bus. These new managers will not stand behind us nor fight for our moves, preferring to keep the partner happy and blame their own team for the very low numbers they are creating. Most of us have one foot out the door and are looking for more lucrative and positive opportunities in the same field. WALK AWAY. I TRIED TO WARN YOU!

Thank you for your feedback and for the years you’ve dedicated to helping families in transition. To be clear, we are a company that strives to promote from within, as you pointed out, and investing in our employees this way is one of our priorities. With many positions, we believe promoting current employees to management, instead of hiring from outside, makes APFM a stronger organization. Additionally, we are a data-driven company, and the metrics we use are intended to help us continue to reach more and more families in need of free guidance and a place for their loved one. We are not always right, but the company’s history has shown us that we create the best relationship with customers when we combine data-driven analysis with emotion-driven instinct to guide our decisions. We appreciate you expressing your general and specific concerns about your experience here. We are open to hearing more about some of your opinions and advice and would be happy to discuss further. Feel free to email us at hr@aplaceformom.com.

Pros

There are no pros. No sarcasm at all.

Cons

This job purposely sets you up to fail. As a coordinator, they want you to transfer as many leads to the advisors as possible. Then when you have a high percentage of doing that they find another way of setting you up to fail by saying well those you transferred werent a good lead and the advisor couldnt get money out of them. so when they look at the leads vs those they could use, and its a low percentage they fire you. They want you to be responsible and accountable for percentages you have no control over. Hence a very high turnover and reasons they dont have to pay you. Every week they hire an extra 30 reps thru contracts, then NEVER have enough hours for the reps to meet their minimum of working 20 hrs. You have to compete with other reps to get the 20 hours you need then you dont get them. They tell you to sign up for as many hours as you want, but control the number of hours you can sign up for. And then the kicker, each week, they ask people to give up hours because they cant afford to pay you. Nevermind you met the 20 hours you wer supposed to work. Its a brainless job , callling wrong numbers all day, dealing with rude people on the phone who purposely curse you out and dealing with the rude advisors they they want you to field calls for. Its a worthless ,thankless non-job job. Its a joke .If you get fired, feel thankful. Dont waste your time applying. They can't really help customers find living options. They lie about alot. Move to the next job.
