Pros

Working at A Place for Mom has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The company is truly mission-driven, and you can feel that purpose in everything we do. Helping families find the right senior living solution is not just a tagline, it’s our north star. I am very impressed by our Executive Leadership Team. They foster an environment that is very collaborative. Transparency is a core part of the culture; leadership communicates openly about company performance, priorities, and decisions, which builds trust and keeps everyone aligned. There are plenty of professional development opportunities, with access to mentorship, and stretch projects that help you grow your skills and advance your career. Leaders across the board do an excellent job when it comes to employee recognition - it is clear they value employees as much as customers. A Place for Mom is a great place to be!

Pros

Work from home Technology provided

Cons

Compensation Structure is ridiculous, you are not paid for your production until you meet a minimum of 8. So if you have 7 “sales” you get ZERO bonus, BUT you have brought in, at minimum $32,000 at that point! ALSO, if you have a back-out, you will start the next month at -1, so now you have to have hit 9 to get paid. Technology is the absolute bottom of the barrel. You have to log into 4 systems that don’t communicate with eachother so you work on each system, then tell another system that you did the work. Every minute of your work day is micromanaged by systems that no one can explain or understand properly. Management is an absolute joke, they promote people from a different department to manage a process they know nothing about, then they complain that they didn’t get to choose their team when they are not getting good results. Too many employees, not enough quality leads! Quota is 14/month, you must hit 11 to stay off a PIP, and you must hit 8 to get paid at all. Vacation can’t be taken until you have been employed for 6 months, and there is no sick pay. You can’t take vacation days at the end of the month. Weekend work is required if the month ends on a Sunday or Monday - so if you want a 3 day weekend - like everyone else in the country for Labor Day, or a Thanksgiving weekend at all 2025 is not the year to work fir this company, but I’m sure the managers and executives will be enjoying those weekends with their families.
