Pros

What I value most is doing work that makes a difference in people's lives. Being able to help families help their loved ones brings me joy. It comes full-circle

Cons

The compensation for SLC's needs to be increased. SLC's do a lot of work and I believe it is more difficult than the work of and SLA. I believe we should be paid equally. I have worked with APFM for 3 years. In the first year and a half, it was a lot easier to make quota every month. I believe I missed quota 3 times in a 18-month period. Since then, the job has been more difficult with the leads we get. The leads are "beat up" and are junk. I have so many deceased leads, leads that have been passed around to 3 or 4 advisors before they get to me, and leads that are no longer looking. It's hard to find someone that is actually looking, unless they are a re-inquiry. As the job has become more difficult with what we have to work with, the quota has remained the same and hasn't changed to reflect what should be more attainable. This needs to be seriously looked at and revised. Otherwise, top performers will leave the company. I already know a few that have left because the compensation didn't match the job.

Pros

What I value most about working at A Place For Mom is the service that the company provides to families. I have always looked at Senior Care as a stressful time and if I was in that position, I would be lost. Knowing what our advisors do for families brings me joy knowing that I can contribute to the mission. I value the corporation from my peers. The people I work with act with a sense of urgency and purpose, so when items that need attention come up, I know can lean on them when times get tough.

Cons

More frequent feedback surveys that are tailored towards front-line managers. I don't have a relationship with my ELT and for me to grade their performance or give feedback is hard when I don't know them. Front-line managers significantly influence company culture, as they are the ones engaging with their employees on a day-to-day basis. Most of my frustrations while working here have been with my front-line managers. Even in the pulse survey, I do not recall many questions asking about my manager, only my ELT.
