Pros

The salaries are fair for para-professional positions, and depending on the department co-workers can be great. Regular all-staff trainings are helpful. Departmental trainings are a good start. Some baseline leaders are excellent. The purpose-driven work is real and fulfilling when done correctly.

Cons

Ironically, it does not adhere to the tenets the company claims to stand for. The agency often has folks in power who do not know the details of job functions for those under them, talk behind backs and form into tight groups despite that they should know better at their stages of careers and professions, and things are often done without rational justification. Instead they are done because someone promised to do them a certain way and wants to be right in their position. This is top-down, and there is no swimming upwards if you are not "in".
