Pros

Smart people. Hard workers. Teams tend to be like little tight-knit families. Lots of very well-respected subject matter experts in the partnership.

Cons

Like with any Big Law firm, long hours are just par for the course. Can also be cut-throat depending on the practice you end up in.

Pros

Good benefits, good pay, co-workers were friendly and understanding if I needed time off.

Cons

Hours can be very unpredictable and demanding. I knew this going in but it still came as a bit of a shock (which is totally on me in all fairness). Just try to be honest with yourself about whether being asked at 5:00 PM on a Tuesday to stay until 2AM would bother you, because this role really doesn't allow you to say no.
