Pros

Great place to work for 9-5 Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Benefits at any job are a plus and I must say they do take care of you in the benefits department. PTO is a definite plus and most managers are very flexible with your time off requests and schedules. Company puts the member first which is great for retaining old business. Hourly rate is a plus but after taxes and benefits it hurts a little.

Cons

Commission bonus set up makes it beyond difficult to earn bonuses beyond your hourly. It seems designed to earn the company more money and give you less. Goals are spread throughout every job title but some of the goals and items you are required to have to sell have little to no relevance to your job position. Member satisfaction is crucial and influential over your standing in the eyes of the company; if the member is not happy with your interaction or any interaction, even if you were not directly involved (if your name is on that survey), that interaction and survey will hurt your overall goal score. Company says they would like new business from a younger generation, however, they are not making a valid effort to allow employees to use social networking to promote events or special promotions.

Pros

Help clients realize their vacation dreams..even the ones they did not think possible for their budgets Never work on Sundays or major holidays and only work evenings for occasional special events which are fun to work anyway Get paid to take occasional familiarization trips to popular vacation destinations. Opportunity to learn about travel destinations worldwide Amazing travel agent discounts Great 401k

Cons

Sales goals did not always make logical sense. Sometimes selling more or doing what was in the best interest of the client would result in a pay cut...I believe some of these may have changed since I left Instead of pay raises each year, pay decreased since hourly rates stayed the same while the level of sales required to earn commissions continued to increase. Quantity much favored and praised over quality Reliance on ethics and integrity of coworkers to not take credit for your work Not many opportunities for advancement Not a lot of vacation time to take advantage of benefits and cannot take more than a week of that vacation at a time in the summer months. Difficult and stressful to request specific days off. Work most Saturdays Unpaid lunches but not allowed to leave for many of those and still expected to answer phones or wait on clients if they came during that time. More and more people are turning to the internet for their travel needs
