      Pros

      Tuition reimbursement, flexible schedule, telecommute policy. Good place to work for underachievers who need to be praised for mediocre performance.

      Cons

      Organizationally lacks direction, focus, commitment. Very little cohesion between business lines. Too much cronyism, nepotism. Unethical middle management. Cries poor, but manages to reward board members and retirees with annual bonus plan. Too impulsive in quest for revenues. No discipline.

      Pros

      37.5 hour weeks, good people who are under appreciated. They hire people with below par resumes and groom them up.

      Cons

      I have a gripe, this year we are expected to fill out a survey for some independent PR firm in Delaware. However, it's complete BS. Why? because the survey is BS. Rather then seek a reputable firm such as the Great places to work institute, they decide to use some two-bit firm in Delaware. Moreover, when they do get the results, they don't share it with their co-workers, instead they let certain information "trickle" down. Good workplaces allow for transparency, however, AAA MidAtlantic is NOT one of them. They give the illusion that they value input from employees, however, we have NO idea what initiatives were implemented from 3 years prior when they took a similar survey. If they really want true transparency and a environment which makes their employees think that AAA cares, then let the information flow FREELY to all.

      Pros

      Very little pressure, laid back atmosphere. Promotes from within. Small but steady organic growth. Firm is in an acquisition mode and seem to be in a good financial positon

      Cons

      A real lack of urgency and a definite AAA culture that sometimes lacks the professionalism you would expect. Raises have been small even over last few year even with profitability
