Pros

--The nature of the job was fun; helping customers plan trips, etc. --The work wasn't complicated are too complex.

Cons

--Salary and benefits were poor. However, a lot of employees at the branches are "second" income earners in their households, so they're not as concerned about compensation. --Outdated business strategies, in terms of how they price their merchandise at the branches, and how the market the value of an AAA membership.

Pros

AAA Mid Atlantic has alway been a great place to work. It has been my family for many years. It has been a place that I have always been proud to say that I work there. I am thankful that I have a job

Cons

The company has recently been purchased. Surprise, one of the senior managers will get a sweet new job out of it! The new company says that they will tell us everything as soon as they know and they will be "transparent" . I feel like the new company is a coiled snake ready to strike. I hope that great new job for that senior manager is worth it because our current president looks beat down. I understand that company growth is necessary but should it really be at the expense of the dedicated employees for a senior manager to line his own pockets.

Good benefits but little else

Pros

The benefits are actually pretty good at this company. The free membership they give you is not only good for automotive services but you get many discounts on quite a few other things. The associates are a great group of people that support each other and most are willing to lend a helping hand.

Cons

Management is not the best. While I understand that at many companies people get promoted based on seniority they also prepare those people for the roles. Management skills are learned. Some people have more natural ability but all can benefit from some leadership and management classes. More recently the trend seems to be to give people the classes but every manager and director needs to take them.
