Pros

Excellent benefits, nice colleagues, metro accessible, financially stable

Cons

the culture of the organization risk averse. Your supervisor has a lot to do with your advancement prospect if they are a builder then you are fine if not you languish and don't move ahead. Issues of fairness in compensation

Limited opportunities to advance

Pros

Despite the size, AAMC has many wonderful opportunities to get involved in various internal and external projects. It is great for learning many skills at various levels especially if you are involved with data or technology.

Cons

Once you become a senior specialist it is difficult to advance beyond this level. AAMC position titles don't necessarily reflect the scope of responsibility. Directors can report to Directors and Chiefs to Chiefs--so it's a little confusing.

Pros

Great benefits...at a price. The compensation is mainly in the benefits. Remember you can survive on benefits alone.

Cons

Not a good place to be everyday. Culture is awful.
