Pros

Pay and benefits are generous by not for profit standards, with the benefits possibly unsurpassed. Generally speaking all necessary resources are provided. If you have a strong idea, you will be supported with additional means to get a job done or bring and idea to fruition. The mission is one of the most important concerns of the nation's future: Healthcare, the cost of prescription drugs, caregiving, fraud prevention, financial exploitation -- not to mention Medicare and Social Security.

Cons

There is a shared feeling that the organization is too inward looking. A lot of time is spent reporting, assessing, targeting, projecting , sharing, conferencing. evaluating and re-evaluating.
