Pros

Great benefit - Tuition assistance, Pension, relaxed atmosphere

Cons

Most mid managers/Directors have no clue about what they are doing. Most of the hires especially in info tech are mostly due to sentiments and not down to qualifications. Too much talk no action Few expertise in house for a lot of highly paid employees

Pros

Good benefits and a defined pension plan are some of the pros to working for a non-profit association in D.C.

Cons

Frequent changes at the management level within IT, as well as the outsourcing of 35% of IT division created a fairly unhealthy environment.
