Pros

Great benefits. Flexible schedule. Competitive compensation.

Cons

This is a vicious environment where the problem resolution model is to quickly point fingers at everyone else. VPs an Directors set the tone and the staff follows. There is no true leadership. Unless you are desperate for a job, stay away.

Pros

Able to re-enter the job market in other areas with assistance. The individuals at AARP are very professional and have a team approach to providing service to their clients. The need for this type of employment assistance is very much need for the 50+ work force available.

Cons

I am able to only work 18 hours per week given federal guidelines. The hours only are able to be worked on Monday through Friday. Inservice meetings are scheduled and called with out notice, due to being short of office staff, meaning that the work done at the various work sites is not given the priority they are expecting.
