Pros

I enjoy working here at Public Works, especially answering the telephone, as well as the data entry but especially the camaraderie experienced among my co-workers.

Cons

I am not really able to apply the things I am learning at City College where I am a student in the Veterinarian Technician Program.

Pros

Great culture, lots of learning opportunities through mentoring and tuition assistance, excellent work/life balance and benefits, great growth potential.

Cons

There really aren't many - maybe a bit of bureaucracy that makes some processes take a bit longer, but I can't blame them for that - they're a large organization. It happens.

Pros

close knit staff, some autonomy, great volunteers, terrific working conditions, excellent salaries and benefits

Cons

a little bureaucratic, state director has many administrative and managerial responsibilities which sometimes takes him/her from acting as spokesperson throughout the state, engaging in media opportunities, and working with coalitions..
