Pros

great benefits, worthy purpose, powerful brand, rich history

Cons

some monstrously mean, catty, territorial people in top (editorial) leadership positions, unable or unwilling to do their own jobs and eager to throw others under the bus as needed. Little sense of actually caring about elderly people, just their own behinds.

Pros

Worked on amicus projects which was a good opportunity to interact not only with AARP attorneys but other private sector and government attorneys. Everyone in the office is generally nice. Flexible hours during law school. Great location in DC.

Cons

Not much guidance provided from attorneys.
