Pros

Could be a Great Place to work, amazing culture; comes off a bit fake. Descent compensation and benefits however the folks that run this place should have been rethought...

Cons

ABC Financial Services Inc., Sherwood, AR has within the last 2-6 months has hired between 40-100 Travel/Trainer Tech, most commonly known as (Planet Fitness) Onsite Implementation Managers. In recent news there have been two most recent celebrations, the promotion of Paul Schaller to CEO and the near completion of the Planet Fitness Migration, one of ABC's newest and largest clients. Due to some recent changes in the on-going training of these new techs hired speficially to work with the Planet Fitness conversion team they wanted to make the supplemental training a pass/fail course; failure that would result in termination. Why not hire people as temp staff when you only needed them to complete a migration of this magnitude, they didn't have the staff they may have had only 10-35 techs on board, they needed bodies and so being equipped with some giants that knows how to execute this they hired many of us on the spot. People by the way who had great careers from their respective states, and left families behind to go after what was believed to be a promising career. In the most recent supplemental training course, which by the way was nothing more than a cram course and they already knew the numbers and projections; thus the reason behind ABC's having a quiz on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 that was supposedly was to be used to see where we are in respect to retaining this mass amount of information. The test was Friday, March 27, 2015 the test was 4 hours, we went to lunch at noon and upon return the terminations began, out of 24 individuals in my class, 18 were fired and 6 kept their jobs but reportedly only 3 of them actually passed, I'm certain that the real scores will never surface. Let me be clear I don't want anything, this is all about making people aware of the truth. It's important that Fitness Clubs such as Planet Fitness, Edge, Golds, Anytime and 10 Fitness are aware of the hiring practices there at ABC and the ongoing mess that is going to continue. Many of us made great connections and worked very hard to create raving fans. Obviously that was not enough, 18 people and over half of them from others states across the United States are now unemployed, I wonder what Club executives and owners really think about this if they have a heart, maybe they will be more concerned with hitting another benchmark this year in $$$.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your input. Our goal is to continuously get better and become a sought after place of employment by people who are committed to creating raving fans. It is disheartening to hear that this is your experience. We will take action to continuously improve our communication throughout the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and development process. Our training for OSIMs, Tech Support, and most Client Management positions is a 3 week training program. Due to the demands of the business we made this a 2 week training for November through February , and then a supplemental training (1 week) which adds up to the standard 3 weeks. As with all our training the test is a pass/fail and passing does not mean that you would continue with ABC because we also consider soft skills, presentation skills and handling conflict. Our goal is making sure our clients are getting the best service possible, and that everyone creates raving fans. The interviewing process is designed to get committed, outgoing, optimistic team members who want to make clients happy by making raving fans. The testing and shadowing is to confirm product knowledge and people skills. The March 27th class with 22 trainees taking their 3rd week of product training (Supplemental) did have 10 people who did not meet our expectations for product knowledge, soft skills, and presentation skills. In order to make the best decisions possible we did review client feedback as well. We wanted everyone to pass and have a rewarding career path and continue to grow with ABC. This does require an extremely high level of commitment from each team member. As we continue to grow in other departments, OSIMs are filling many of these roles. A great example of this is the 3 week QA/Testing training program that we are starting for our Software Development division, almost 20 OSIMs applied for that program. There is a lot of feedback here and I really want to talk with you to see how you feel we can improve our recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and development in order to not put people in the place that you are now. Pros

Fully remote, and dedicated to it.

Cons

Focused on minimizing cost to the detriment of dealing with the fallout from decades old bad decisions. Health Benefit package is United HealthCare - it is terrible. Looks good on paper, but close to having no coverage at all when you actually need to use it. Plenty of talk about work/life balance, but they expect you to be available all the time - regardless of what the "on-call" schedule is. No job security. Moving to offshore all full time employees. Current (very) long term employees have some job security, but they hold their knowledge closely to remain indispensable. Ancient tech, with no commitment to modernization - still using mainframe in places. Big brother oversight - including on your personal phone. If you are on call, you must use your own phone and they require you install their mobile app management software (MAM). Your work computer has activity trackers, and full remote management of hardware.

Pros

The benefits are good but could be better.

Cons

It’s interesting how many five star reviews are on here it’s probably simply due to the fact that they send out weekly messages asking to make sure you rate the company at 5.0. The finance team is run by a bunch of egomaniacs who are out for themselves and no one else.
