Pros

I genuinely love my job! It's amazing to see the progress the kids make and the job is very rewarding.

Cons

Although I love my job and believe it is truly worth it, there are some things to be mindful of when you're applying.... -First, make sure you have a good amount of savings before you start this job. My paychecks range between $700-$875, depending on client cancellations. -You’ll work a lot of hours without full pay… From the time I leave my house in the morning to the time I get home from work, I’ve been gone for 10.50 hours but only get paid for 7 hours. -With breaks, travel time to and from work and travel time to and from appointments, my schedule is 51.25 hours per week (with no cancellations) but the total hours I'm actually paid for, is 35 hours per week. In other words, there are 16.25 unpaid hours per week where I’m either driving, on break, or trying to waste time before my next appointment. -My weekly driving mileage is between 325-375mpw. The company compensates for gas between appointments but in the end, it doesn't cover the full amount for the premium gas my cars requires and no pay is contributed towards ware and tare on your car. -Clients can cancel their appointments at any time and you lose out on that pay. Sometimes the clients will even wait for you to arrive to the appointment to cancel. Thus, this could result in 2 hours of wasted/unpaid time (depending on the amount of time scheduled between appointments). -Don’t plan on taking too much time off work. The kids rely on consistency and the companies PTO contributions are minimal. But again, this is a very rewarding job and the company really wants to help you move up. Just be mindful of the challenges you’ll face at the beginning. The hours are long and there’s little income at the beginning. But if you’re motivated, dedicated, and looking for a career, this is a great place.
