- No parking at all. Parking costs $10 a day period. You basically park in the back lot. You don't get an actual parking spot unless you are really high up. So be prepared to spend about $3000 a year on parking alone!
- There is a new regime in town. When I worked there, there were people who had been working for 30 years there in high positions. There was a family culture. Women were hired for really high positions makes $250k/yr.
- Then after a CEO change the whole culture changed. He fired all the old crew and brought in his entourage. This was both good and bad. Good in the sense that some really bad people were let go but then bad in the sense that some good people exited also.
- This is typical GOV agency where people basically work till they retire. For example, there are people that have been there since 1970s and putting 30-40+ years in at AC Transit is quite common.
- Heavily unionized environment where you have to basically wait till someone leaves or retires to move up.
- This whole district has a lot of problems in operations and such where operators get into fist fights and generally it's a rough environment.
