Pros

Entrepreneur environment and informal dress code

Cons

They go through hiring phases and hire way too many people and then do yearly layoffs. It makes for a very competitive and unstable work environment.

Pros

Pay (barely but it can be good)

Cons

Long hours Ancient check cashing methods No inclement weather policy (MUST MAKE IT WORK DESPITE ANY CONDITIONS, IF POWER IS OUT, MUST SIT IN STORE UNTIL POWER RETURNS OR APPROVED BY MANAGER) No support from management Vacation time...forget it Lunch breaks, any break...forget it. Must eat between customers. More than likely you'll just eat when you get home because you will work the store by yourself with a door that swings open consistently.

Pros

Pay and benefits are sone of the best out there. If you like working solo, this is a decent job and you will learn a lot.

Cons

Expectations are ungodly. Most stores are staffed with one person that has the work load of 3-4 people. Must sell at least two prepaid cards a day and get at least two customers a month to take Direct Deposit on these cards. If you miss this expectation, disciplinary action, up to term. Store associates required to use their personal cell to Google businesses to solicit check cashing business. No reimbursement for use and supervisors constantly call you, even on days off. Required conference calls on days off and many times these are not paid. This has always been an intense company, not for the faint of heart. Now the expectations are unreasonable and the workload far exceeds the pay/benefits. DMs and above - zero work/life balance at all. Additionally- everyone is replaceable. No loyalty at all.
