Pros

The supervisors there were all nice and approachable. Everyone usually had a smile on their face and willing to help (if they could). Seeing results!

Cons

Supervisors are way over worked! The expectation is way too high! Everyone's always asked about their "billable" hours. Supervisors have way too many cases to manage in comparison to "ALL" other ABA agencies out there. Travel time and administrative time are not factored into the the supervisors time. Supervisors work way beyond the work hours and DO NOT have a life. ACES wants their employee's life to be ACES and get upset when employees have a life outside of ACES (e.g., upset a certain employee can not attend a fund raiser event). Travel time is calculated into the supervisors salary which should not be the case. No other ABA agency does this but ACES! ACES has a lame amount they claim for travel time but how they came up with that number is beyond me. Usually companies will tell how much they pay per mile! BEAs work just as hard as supervisors but are paid less. BEAs are not able to help supervisors because they are just as swamped with about the same caseload! Management can not support staff the way they want because they are so swamped with juggling their whole schedule around to get their hours in. In the end, the BIs are left alone and untrained. SV meetings are too overwhelming because things are "always" changing every month that it is hard to keep up with something for more than 2 weeks to a month. ACES has a ton of angry families because of the turn over rate (which is the main compliant) and training of their BIs. We're were told the CEO is compassionate and loves people but from the looks of things, it's hard to believe it. Seems like she loves the money more!!

Pros

-Working with kids -relationship with the families -making a difference

Cons

-the BI does all the "dirty work" while the supervisors cash in. - not enough hours, mainly afternoon shifts -families can cancel sessions anytime and that leaves the BIs without pay. -they say they pay BIs for travel but its only between shifts and the compensation is minimal. If you don't have shifts schedule back to back you don't gat paid for travel. -the hourly pay is not good. I have a BS and am a certified teacher in another state yet I got paid the same (if not less than those who have been there longer) than a college student. -when I was a sub in the Academy, it was so disorganized!! There were no activities planned .....the only activity they did was the "volcano" and the kids had seen it plenty of times.

Pros

The only good thing about this place is its certification and education program.

Cons

I’ve encountered numerous challenges while working here. The hours are inconsistent, and clients can cancel at the last minute leaving you unpaid for the session. There is no cancellation fee to compensate for this. New hires are paid more than BIs who have been with the company for a while, and there’s little incentive to stay motivated. Breaks are rarely taken, and overall, the experience isn’t worth it. I can’t stress this enough, find a different place to work.
