Pros

Lots of autonomy and independence. You can pick up substitute sessions to get more hours. Satisfaction of knowing you're making a difference in the lives of autistic children & their families.

Cons

Two-week training consisted of a lot of online reading & watching & listening to 2 different trainers on different days read word-for-word from a PowerPoint. The trainers and several other employees all have a different understanding of certain procedural policies. Most employees are Behavior Interventionists, which is a part time position. No benefits for part time & can be emotionally & physically draining work, leading to high turn-over rate.

Pros

- Flexible Schedule - Clients are amazing

Cons

- Pay not competitive, managers will say they are making you a "great" offer, but its the lowest minimum payment for that position. - Unrealistic hour expectations for supervisors compared to the other companies in the area - Micromanagement - Working weekends - No support from management when issues occur with families - They charge an obnoxious amount of money for BCBA supervision hours and require a contract.. but the supervision they provide isn't worth $5.
