Pros

The day-to-day work can be quite challenging and you can learn a lot. Personal networking opportunities abound. If you do your job well, you can last a long time. Company is flexible regarding PTO. If you are just out of college it is a good place to get your foot in the door of the payments industry. There is a great sense of camaraderie amongst teams.

Cons

Be prepared to subordinate your personal life to the company. You must be able to deal with constant change proactively. Sub-par software and support. A cumbersome, lumbering bureaucracy. The frustration of collaborating with coworkers on another continent who are held to a different (lower) standard of accountability than you are, even though you work for the same company.

Pros

Very flexible time off, flexible daily work schedule, ability to telecommute, front-line employees are extremely friendly and helpful. ACI is a great place to gather the experience necessary to successfully land your next job.

Cons

ACI has become a haven for senior management flunkies many of whom come from FDR. I've watched over the years the hire/fire cycle prevalent at FDR and now see that practice part of ACI culture. Senior management is not only out of touch with employees, they are also woefully out of touch with ACI products and the complexity of those products. Their primary focus no longer has company interests at heart but are now in the game for self advancement and gain, unconcerned with the havoc left in their wake. And the havoc is extensive. Management is largely ungrateful for the daily sacrifices required of employees due to management's horrific decisions, decisions largely based on nothing more than the latest book they've read or google search they've run.
