1. Limited career growth: Expect to remain in the same position throughout your tenure at ACL.
2. Minimal salary increments: Even after working for two and a half years, I experienced less than a 1% salary increase.
3. Substantial disconnect: Working at ACL can make you feel like an outsider. Besides your designated HR, you'll likely have more interaction with the client than with your own company. This isolation can leave you unsupported when issues arise, be it related to salary, policies, or document errors. As an outsourced employee, you will feel like an orphaned kid in foster home.
4. Job insecurity: Termination can happen abruptly, possibly with less than a one-month notice period. Even if you excel in your role at client site, you can be let go for seemingly arbitrary reasons.
Recommendation from personal experience:
Only consider this type of job if you are currently unemployed and no offer in hand. Avoid switching to ACL or similar companies if you already have a permanent position, as it may adversely impact your career. If you do not have any option other that joining, begin preparing to switch jobs from day one. Don't hesitate to make the move; these companies often engage in unfair practices, and sudden terminations could leave you and your family facing financial difficulties.
