Challenging, relatively satisfactory. Some departments, are better than others, and that makes a difference.

Pros

Stable company, good benefits, relatively progressive and respectful management, with rare exceptions. Knowledge gained at ADP is useful in the job market place due to ADP's wide footprint in the industry.

Cons

Some departments do not know how to have employees balance work demands against the needs for personal time. Employees (called associates) can lose out on their family and social life, and opportunities for volunteer activities or hobbies if they don't klnow how to manage their boss' requests.

Pros

Job is diverse and very challenging. It is so cool to interract with other industries and learn all about them! Senior management is great and although a large company, each division operates as a small company. I have left and returned several times to ADP which is nice to know they appreciate quality people!

Cons

Expect to work a lot of hours! Sometimes product releases are premature and create more work as well as awkward situations with clients....

Excellent training. Very well managed company.

Cons

I was at ADP for almost two years. During that time I received many recommendations from clients and was always told by my manager that I was doing very well. When the economic downturn happened I was let go with absolutely no warning. I was asked to go to a conference room and I was let go by my manager remotely. Talk about blindsided!!! I was not even given the chance to say goodbye to coworkers and pack up my personal belongings. A coworker had to pack my things and they were put in the lobby for me to pick up. I was completely disrespected and humiliated.
