Pros

- Some peers were cool, team players, always willing to help and enjoy a laugh. - Convenient location - Interesting projects

Cons

- Too much unnecessary political, corporate drama - Mixed messages sent regarding company's values - Poor communication from senior management - Manager's priorities misplaced - Not run like a typical A/E firm, more like an accounting firm or law office - Bureaucratic nightmare - Employees not given tools to make job easier, save time, and money, even when pressuring management - No straight answers given to direct questions regarding office policies, points of contact, etc. - Too many "chefs in the kitchen" - Horribly design office and layout, drab decor, lots of wasted space, and poorly organized - Exorbitant amount of paperwork and unnecessary internal emails

Pros

None if I could I would give this company zero stars. They allow toxic work behavior such as work gossips. Managers coherence employees to work for free all the time and. I was made to work for free alot and sometimes want even paid for 40 hours due to small budget despite putting 40 hours or more my manager made me put my hours as unpaid leave.

Cons

No work life balance Work politics Benefits suck Nickle and dime every damn thing

Pros

Big companies give you chance to work on big projects. Oh and Free Coffee if you're into it. I wish I could say more positive things, but there isn't really much.

Cons

This review is only for Design Planning and Economics practice. In general, it feels like AECOM has grown beyond its capabilities to manage it. -> I'll put this in bold - VERY TOP HEAVY. Which in management terms mean that most people will retire here, leaving little space for upward mobility -> The entire practice survives on Federal Planning team getting big military related contracts - as sad as that is, this is true -> No room for innovation really, just standard practice because all the middle / top management want to keep their jobs and not take any risks -> Managers have very poor credentials resulting in projects being run into the ground -> Business Leaders are even worse, since they've no practical knowledge of working in the field, and so fail to make good business judgement -> Project Managers have little to no knowledge of managing such big teams -> No raise of bonus potential. Unless you're working in the field.
