Pros

Nothing I can think of except the name being largest civil engineering firm that keeps buying other civil engineering companies

Cons

Everything starting with no support professionally, technically, and emotionally to staff. Big disconnect between managers and technical employees, no support in developing professionally at all! Managers act extremely unprofessional!

Pros

I've really enjoyed working with the engineers and other product team members in this office. Developing solutions to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Some employees top-notch while others should apply to 7-11.

Cons

AECOM bought URS, as part of this merge started showing signs of it. Research shows that URS is 18% below the market on competitive salaries. The project I worked, was very demanding, and I enjoyed that. However, being an exempt employee, with the amount of overtime accrued was never compensated.

Pros

It's a company which will give you good experience from a corporate environment, and there are a few good people that work in this office as well. That's about it.

Cons

Where to begin? This is a completely bureaucratic environment where you will need a form for everything that has to be signed off by several key managers before something happens. The coffee sucks. The level of deception within this office is unbelievable. Management only cares about the financial aspects of the projects and keeping people billable. There's hardly any diversity, unless you just count the ratio of men to women. The pay is probably the worst within the industry, I know people that have been here for 5 years, yet the company has hired in new graduates for the same position that make more than them (Yes, that's the icing on the cake). There's really no culture, no comradery, nothing that promotes employee satisfaction or team building. It's a very dull office with gray cubicles and a feel that will remind you of the movie "Office Space". There's literally a guy with glasses that walks around with a coffee mug and doesn't do anything. There's too much favoritism going on in here as well, there's one executive that really caters to all of the younger females within the office and has no regard for anyone else that puts in hard work. They also deem you a buffoon if you aren't an engineer or don't have an engineering background. Overall, just stay away. These people really don't care about their employees.
