The merger with URS has been very difficult. The companies have completely different cultures and upper management seem to be combining the worst parts of each company in order to squeeze out every last dime out of the employee. They do not take care of their employees at all.

Negatives - In a company this large you can get lost in the sea of employees and management may take you for granted, until something goes wrong. Then the finger pointing begins. No one takes ownership for processes, procedures, and work products that may come into question. Health benefits were very good when I was initially hired but have subsequently declined and more of the cost-sharing burden has been put on the employee. Holidays are few and far between. There is no formal vacation or sick time. It is all rolled into Paid Time Off which is not a selling point. Employee Performance Rating System has changed but it still may not accurately reflect an employee's true contribution to the company, because the purse strings could be held by a senior manager who rewards those who he/she knows personally and those who are not in the circle of trust are not fairly compensated. No room for advancement. The organization is Financial centric and driven by an IT agenda.
