Pros

A lot of very dedicated and hard-working employees, despite their treatment and the obstacles they face every day. If you like a lot of change with very little direction and support, this is the company for you.

Cons

It's odd to see so many positive reviews. When I worked there, I heard nothing but negativity about the leadership. The morale was very, very low, and I saw a lot of very unethical things going on- to the point where I simply resigned. I no longer wanted to be part of that environment. Bad, bad karma!

Short term results may not be sustainable

Pros

Good people throughout the company. Friendships and alliances can be easily found on the teams

Cons

Seniors Managers can be highly political often not hearing concerns of the employees. Those who provide contrary views are not valued. Short term results are often prioritized over long term investment.

Small cog in a big corporation

Pros

Broad network to lean on for resources, internal opportunities, etc. Wide range of types of work that you can get involved in.

Cons

It's tough to feel like you matter in a nearly 100K person company. After AECOM acquired URS, tension in the office was very high (and remains so) as new management eliminated legacy URS positions that were duplicative of legacy AECOM positions. On top of a lot of folks being fired, many left for other opportunities. The word "billability" is used so much that if you fall below 100% billable, you start to sweat.
