      Large company with low health insurance cost

      Cons

      AECOM never cares about employee development. I worked here for 7 years and only got annual review in my first year. Even I asked for a review, the manager will not answer me. The company only cares if you can be "Billable" on the project. AECOM merged with a lot of companies because they didn't earn a lot of new projects. It acquired companies to make their financial report look good. I would never recommend anyone to work here.

      Great people and great projects. One of the benefits of being so large.

      Cons

      It's run by accountants and most senior management is completely out of touch with business on the ground. Too interested in pleasing wall street with short term thinking.

      Pros

      A lot of nice people at AECOM. Sometimes I get paid to sit in my truck and babysit work crews. Nespresso machine in the kitchen is a bonus.

      Cons

      As an entry level geologist, I learned a lot about how to be a good field tech at AECOM...one year later and I'm not sure how much more they have to offer me - everyone is too busy with their own work to mentor entry level hires and we are consistently put on the same monotonous field jobs that involve tasks that really shouldn't even require a degree. My brain has not been challenged with any type of science since I've worked here...HA! and I thought I was going to be a geologist. So much for college.
