Pros

From the time of acquisition to now, I’ve consistently felt supported by management. I’ve had great opportunities to learn and grow, which has made my role feel both meaningful and rewarding. Even as the company has grown, the core values remain clear. There’s a genuine focus on people, and it shows in how supported and valued the team feels. What I appreciate most is the steady support from my manager—whether it’s flexibility or guidance, I know I’m backed. It creates an environment where communication is open, teamwork comes naturally, and everyone is working toward the same goals.

Cons

I’m very happy in my role and have no cons.

Pros

As a legacy PM coming from the optical field, I honestly felt like I had hit my ceiling at my previous job. I was already at the highest level I could go as a Lab Manager, and there wasn’t much room to grow. When we got acquired by AEG Vision, I had a lot of mixed emotions and questions what was it going to be like? Looking back now, I can say I’m really glad I took that leap. Since joining AEG, I’ve seen so much growth in a short amount of time. I started as an Assistant Manager, and with the support and guidance from my manager at the time, Jessica D., I was developed into a Practice Manager. That transition meant a lot to me, especially being in a leadership role where people first is truly lived every day. After about a year and a half of hard work and dedication, and with the continued support from my District Manager, Jasmin C., I was given the opportunity to move up into a higher-volume practice, which is where I am today. What stands out the most is how much AEG invests in its people. From training to development, everything is focused on helping us grow so we can give the best care to our patients. The support from my team, other PMs, and our field leaders has not only helped me grow professionally but has also pushed me to want more for myself. Like my Regional Director, Ashley B., always says, “The sky is the limit” and working here really makes that feel true.

Cons

I really don't have anything to add as a con. My experience has been phenomenal.

Pros

I have been with AEG since 2019. At that time, I was an associate doctor in a private practice that was acquired by AEG. Becoming an AEG employee has opened up opportunities in my practice and in my career that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. One of AEG's core values is "entrepreneurial spirit," which enables doctors to be innovative and actively involved in practice growth strategies. At AEG, doctors have a voice through the Optometric Leadership and Advisory Council. It is a board of practicing AEG doctors from across the country that regularly interacts with upper leadership. As doctors in the lane, we can voice our concerns, share our ideas, and be part of the direction of medical services in our offices.

Cons

I have no cons to share about working at AEG. I can share that the most difficult part of the last several years was making the transition from private practice to private equity. While it was a very smooth transition, we did have to learn new systems and new procedures. There was a lot of training, but everything happened in phases, so it was not overwhelming. Although I was very apprehensive when I first learned about the change, it has proved to be the best thing that could have happened in my career.
