Pros

Junior bankers get along well but because of such high turnover that could change in a few months. Large deal flow and perpetually understaffed ensures that you will close a couple of deals and get a high level of experience Some partners are great to deal with, others just not good people

Cons

Partners are lazy (do not write their own emails, open excel) Forced to submit exactly when you will in on weekends and will receive a call from the CEO as soon as hours start CEO monopolizes your time and forces you to read and write his emails including personal ones CEO will assign needless work just so that people cannot leave the office All decisions are made by the CEO with no input from anyone else

Pros

- AGC will teach you that attention to detail, however minute, and presentation mean a lot. - Excellent organization - You have an opportunity to explore whether this career path is for you - A lot of hopefuls will not have an opportunity like this - take advantage of the time you're given. - Great exposure – Tech M&A has been heating up, allowing fall analysts an opportunity to assist senior bankers on multiple sub-sectors of the industry. Make it a point to try and work with each partner if you can. - If you're motivated and continue to seek out additional work, AGC will provide you with real exposure to the M&A process. - Everyone in Boston knows Ben (CEO). He is a great mentor/resource and truly wants to see you succeed. - Outings are a lot of fun (when it’s warm). You get to know the team outside of the office environment. - If you think Foosball is a competitive game, try playing with bankers. - All and all - I learned a great deal from my time at AGC, met a great group of people, and the experience opened a lot of doors. I truly appreciate that.

Cons

- You aren't reading this review to sign up to teach third grade and to be honest the cons are few and far between for the experience you have. - If the stipend money is a problem, chances are you're not in this for the right reasons... Here's a good one: - The subject line: Bread & Bananas when High Street's windchill is -14F. (but think of it as motivating) Advice on the DL: There's a guy from Wolf & Co. who ALWAYS takes a morning constitutional. You either beat him in in there or you don't go at all. Trust me.

Pros

It is a good resume padder. Got your foot in the door to some IB interviews.

Cons

Not a very robust educational platform. Very simple and repetitive work. Hired an army of interns at a very cheap stipend that is well below minimum wage.
