Pros
- Strong deal flow: analysts will close 5-10+ deals during their 2 year stint - Lean structure: deal teams are typically 3 people, given the small nature of AGC and the typical client, analysts can expect to have significant responsibilities and interactions with senior level bankers and management - Good exit opportunities: recent alums have placed well into other banks and industries (buy-side shops, consulting, etc.) - Great junior staff: these are the people with whom you will spend the bulk of your waking hours, and AGC does a good job of hiring good junior bankers
Cons
- Typical investment banking cons (long and demanding hours, work/life balance, etc.) - Brand significantly weakens outside of the Boston market - Initially, it can be difficult to adapt to the working styles of the senior bankers which can differ drastically between any 2 given partners
