Pros

A good place to start your career and learn sheet-metal processes.

Cons

The company had a major layoff. The company reassigned engineers from R&D to Manufacturing, but many do not yet have the manufacturing engineering background or skills typically needed for the role. Key concepts such as Lean tools, VSM, 5S, takt time, PFMEA, structured problem-solving and many more are not well understood. For example There was confusion between common process tools like flowcharts, process mapping , and VSM. At the same time, these engineers tend to closely oversee experienced staff, which can make the work environment difficult for those with strong expertise.
