Pros

Ahead, LLC really empowers you to take charge of your career. This is a place for go-getters. You can review other employees LI profiles to see growth is there. As a company, we're growing, especially in the Twin Cities MN. My manager actively encourages me to grow (heck, i have bonus requirements tied to achieving more certifications, conferences, etc - they pay me more to learn, i love that!). We all try to stay on top of trends, we meet with vendors to evaluate offerings, we work with customers to deliver on time solutions. To put it plainly, we kick butt up and down the block. There is unlimited PTO but the catch is bonuses are tied to team billing goals so if you aren't at a customer, that can go against it. People manage that themselves. I've had no troubles thus far with vacations, presentations, or personal days. Meetings are only as frequent as necessary. Equipment is good. We actively use slack to keep in touch. For Reference: No one demanded me to do this review. no one asked me to tweak my review. This is my honest opinion. Ahead kicks a--, im very very glad i'm here.

Cons

The company is growing like gangbusters - and most troubles are just from growing at such a rate. There are some equipment security software I'm not a fan of being pushed down, and some formerly all hands in a cool place events are turning into "local events" (which may or may not happen). And i think one needs to explain why they really need to go to a conference or buy some materials (so far all my reasonable requests have been approved). Don't go hear if you aren't fired up on your own. This isn't a slow company for people who like to live in a silo. There are places for that (i could name a few). Ahead is for people who raise a hand and say "ill do that!".

Pros

Company trip each year, finally more than 2 weeks vacation as of 2018, not a lot of management over site (depending on your position) If you are in sales this place is perfect. The focus is more on sales than on the actual work

Cons

Closing offices and selling off the smb market Not being up front with clients on issues or changes health insurance is horrible no equipment refresh (best to buy your own) With the cutbacks and release of workers that mean more work for everyone else More focus on sales and less on continuing relationships with clients Training is up to the individual so if you want it you need to do it and go get it yourself, YouTube videos is the recommended approach Raises do not happen unless you threaten to leave They give reviews but they do not lead to anything Management do not listen, nor care about your opinion/ideas Supervisors have no decision making abilities or power Constant cutbacks and lack of spending Too many chiefs and not enough Indians

Pros

AHEAD is by far the best company I've had the privilege to work for. The company culture and team dynamic is super supportive, and the work is challenging but not overburdening. From my very first week here I felt encouraged to share new ideas and then saw them immediately acted upon, something every company I've worked for has talked about but never really fulfilled, even over a period of years. The benefits are outstanding (uncommonly affordable BCBS health insurance, "unlimited" PTO [you're trusted to manage this responsibly], commuter perks, matched retirement, etc.), including the amazing Chicago headquarters. AHEAD has made a name for itself in a fairly crowded industry (IT services and consulting) with some pretty powerful competition, but, from my experience, they've been successful at this because they prioritize seeking the best people and going out of their way to make employees feel supported and valued in a truly substantive way.

Cons

Sometimes the work is tedious, sometimes the workload fluctuates between heavy and light. These are things that are more or less par for the course with office work, and it's no different at AHEAD.
