Pros

Within a given department you can get a lot done, but the other departments might as well be on the Moon for all you'll typically interact with them. Makes you feel a bit lonely and not really a part of a greater team. The CEO seems to actually care about as much as any Chief Officer at a multi-billion dollar company can, and may very well be on your first day's orientation training.

Cons

The company culture is at times really pushed to an off-putting degree. If you were ever in a cult and kind of miss the forced compliance, it'll feel like home.

Pros

Growing company. Unlimited PTO. They are going to start a 401K company match in 2023. Semi-flexible hours to help aid in work-life balance -- but thee are not truly "flexible hours" because the standard expectation in that you be available 8-5 EST (but you should have no trouble getting an hour off here and there for doctor appointments, etc)

Cons

CDI is rapidly acquiring companies and everyone is at disparate salaries from all the new acquisitions and there has been NO effort to standardize or level up employee compensation plans from smaller acquired companies so that they are on-par with legacy CDI employees and even brand new hires. In my department, many of the new employees that are hired directly by CDI this year are being paid $20K+ more than experienced employees that have been in their roles for years at the acquired companies. This sows enormous discontent and pushes quality talent to leave. Also all the acquisitions have resulted in severe growing pains. There is a severe lack of basic processes, best practices, and standardized training/onboarding -- resulting in inefficiency, confusion, and chaos across many departments (including HR, AP/AR, Sales and Sales Ops, Finance/Legal/Compliance)... lack of processes is an issue that reverberates throughout the entire organization and actually has a real, very negative direct impact on your paycheck when it comes to bonus/commission calculations. There is also a visible lack of women and minority representation in leadership roles. Also, CDI has an "unlimited PTO" policy, but I have run into issues scheduling my days off because you are required to make sure that you have a back up assigned during your absence... so if you are trying to schedule a week-long vacation, it can be difficult to get someone to cover for you.
