Pros

Staff were really good to work with and very knowledgable in their areas of expertise. Lots of overtime when you needed it and hard work didn't go unoticed.

Cons

As expected being American all the interesting stuff happened there, so did the majority of the career advancements. Although easy to get to, not a great choice of town to be located in. To be honest this was the biggest Con.

Decent company for a long term career with decent befits. Though went through rough times, the new management is great with forward looking attitude. Flexible in terms of work hours and remote work location options.

Cons

Not for creativity and innovation craving folks.

Valic pays well, or about average for the industry. The parent company supports flexible work arrangements and the benefits are unmatched.

Cons

Unfortunately, there is little opportunity for growth as salaries are frozen and (other than financial advisors) there is relatively low turnover in staff.
