      Pros

      Highly specialised and competent underwriters and there are opportunities to travel and develop your career. Compensation is fair but bonuses can be lowered for the front line staff. Good training.

      Cons

      Recent restructuring has taken a lot of fun out of working there and the corporate functions are relatively weak. The changes will continue and staff feel it's a never-ending cycle of change management...

      Pros

      Brand is strong and has a lot of potential in the local market. Talented employees and very capable to penetrate further.

      Cons

      The harmonized benefits implementation has made the company less competitive. The global initiatives are being shoved to the country without considering if it's effective or even efficient. Shared services in Malaysia is not capable to deal & handle local requirements and needs. Regional & Global leaders have been treating the in country leaders as staff. Joining the company has made me feel that I am deteriorating rather than progressing.
