I am an employee of AJM in Vineland,NJ. It is a tough place to work in the summer months because of the heat. It's maybe 30 degrees warmer in the plant then it is outside. I work in the warehouse and there has been 3 managers here since I started. No consistency. There is a new manager now in the warehouse who is the best one we have had yet, he cares about his employees and we want to work for him. It's not always like this. Some people shouldn't be here but never get fired and people who don't do their job don't get fired either. Everyone gets away with everything. Big benefit is company paid benefits for me and my family.

Cons

Mandatory overtime is on short notice. And it's very very hot in the summer time. Not all managers are on the same page.

Pros

I am a current employee of AJM in Joplin. The company offers great health insurance for families for such a low cost yet the best of coverages. We don't have layoffs and considerations are given to all all employees despite the "fear" of past history being an automatic "No Hire." It is nice when a company admits that they are striving to be an "Emplyer of Choice" but realizes they have a ways to go and is honest about it. Look around their parking lot at the cars, "it doesn't look like their employees are struggling."

Cons

It is hot in the summer months but they do what they can do to help it.

Steady work, great benefits! Hard working people for the most part. I regrettably had to leave this job because I had to take care of a family member who needed me, the company did everything possible to help me through this so I could continue to work. Unfortunately, I was not able to give them my best and had to leave.

Cons

The company expects you to come to work everyday and do your job. The only people that have problems here are the people that don't want to do what is expected of them. Come in do your job and the company is fair with you. The new computer system is making people work harder to get going and it is weeding out some of the bad apples!
