Pros

Friendly co-workers although they have a high turnover of staff as the treatment of employees is to over work them and undervalue them.

Cons

Disorganized, mismanaged, and no clear direction for future development constantly asked to pursue projects that are later tabled.

Pros

you don't have to pay for health insurance, steady work

Cons

Totally unprofessional place. They treat their employees like machines. No consideration for family life, call ins are constant. Good employees leave because of upper management screaming and yelling.

Pros

Depending on the desperation of the company at the time of hire for your position, The Compensation is decent. There are no other redeeming qualities at this company. Anything you read elsewhere to the contrary will be sadly disproved with acceptance of a position at this company.

Cons

Career Opportunities. There is almost zero opportunity to advance here. No matter how well you perform you will be flat lined in your role. Very few if any employees were promoted within or advanced their career. Fill the position then hamstring you in it. Compensation & Benefits. The pay and benefits are grudgingly adequate upon acceptance. Make sure you negotiate the best that you can get because after you are in, you will neither see a decent raise nor merit for the remainder of your time. Helpful hint, if you get far enough in the process to be offered a position, they are desperate and you should ask for more. “Bonuses” are hand delivered by the owner, once a year sometimes, and are arbitrary in amount and dependent on his whims. If you were a star until the last week of the year but made a typo the day of his decision it will be fatal. Work/Life Balance. Simply put there is none. You are expected to be available 24/7 with little to no warning. There is no consideration for the Life part. You will be expected to be in not one minute late at the start of the day and leaving at your normal business hour is frowned upon, if you are salaried. Time off for any reason is used against you in your review. Guaranteed that you will be marked down for this as a means to give you a lower rating. Senior Management. The company is dictated to by the owner. There is only a couple people who are authorized to decipher his directions. You will always wind up with a conflicting understanding of what is required of you, and you will always be held accountable for the outcome. Your manager will never be responsible for any misunderstandings. There is much finger pointing, passing the buck, and blame game. Senior Management will never take responsibility for actions taken, if they get around to taking any in the first place. You will always feel like you are on your own. Culture & Values. This company is run like it was 1890. Demerits are given for perceived infractions and used as a punishment. A typical response is “If you don’t like it then there are others at the door waiting to take your place”. The concepts of fair, respect, and civility are foreign to the culture. Demeaning other employees is common openly and behind their backs. Expect to be screamed at by the owner or witness it on a regular basis. You will always feel like your job is in jeopardy. If you are in dire straights it is a job. Not a career though and you will hate it.
