From day one, I felt the toxicity of the work environment. Colleagues from our location criticized the ones from Denmark and gossiped about them all the time, questioning their value and their capabilities. I never felt integrated into the team and had to pretend to be someone I was not just to fit in. There was very little flexibility in the hybrid model—we were forced to go into the office weekly, at least twice, and if you were not doing so, they were putting the blame on you: you must do this. Work mainly consisted of endless, pointless meetings led by mediocre managers and people in senior positions who were clearly not qualified. There was excessive micromanagement with daily sprints and check-ins where we had to share how we “felt” using traffic-light colors, which felt childish and unprofessional. The company constantly bragged about its “culture and principles,” but my experience was the complete opposite. When I faced a serious health issue and informed my manager and the general manager, instead of support, I was threatened with dismissal. Having no clue about what was going to happen, they set up a random meeting, and they pressured me to sign a resignation letter under the claim that otherwise I would have an “improper dismissal” on my record. This was a kind of threat, saying that "if I would not sign this, it would be worse for me and for my future." Using my state of shock after this, I was forced to leave, and the justification they gave me was based on minor mistakes anyone could make during onboarding. Overall, I experienced a toxic, unprofessional environment, poor leadership, lack of empathy, and manipulative management practices.
