Pros

Free movies, Free soda and popcorn while on breaks.

Cons

Unprofessional Management- I had never been in a work place where management was so terrible. They often gossiped like children, didn't follow state labor laws and showed extreme favoritism. Working weekends s a must Minimum Wage pay with no raises You shall receive MANY write ups, expect that. Some of which you'll deserve if your drawer is ever short 10 dollars, and others that are plain silly. They fired staff without reason and hire swarms of new people to replace them around 3 times a year.

Pros

Free Movies, Popcorn, Soda, Icee Discounts on food

Cons

You are basically a SLAVE! There are three main Film Crew (associate) shifts: concession, usher, and porter. CONCESSION SUCKS!!!! You behind a cashier all day and right in front of a hot popcorn popper, so you're always feeling hot and you get sweaty because annoying customers makes you run around. Customers are sooo annoying and needy that it's ridiculous. When I first started I was like "I can get along with people, I have good patience." NO! Once you are behind that cashier for 6-8 hours straight...people can get to you. USHER SUCKS!!!! You have to make sure all the theaters are clean and the floors are clean. Sometimes 3 or like 5 theaters end at or around the same time and you have to run from one theater to the next cleaning them and making sure you get them clean on time before the next movie starts. It really sucks because people leaver EVERYTHING in the theaters!!! Like you you see popcorn all over the floor, spilled drinks, food everywhere, and like drinks still full (you would think if someone paid 5.50 for a drink that they would at least DRINK it -__-) Being an usher sucks..but its ok on slow days...slow days are basically the Mon-Thurs when everyone is at school or working, but I always worked Fri-Sun (the busy days) because I had school throughout the weekdays... PORTER SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being a porter is basically cleaning the restrooms OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR 6-7 HOURS STRAIGHT! OMG ITS SOOOO GROSSSSSS!!!!! If you're a guy then the porter shift is probably the best shift because guys restrooms don't get dirty, so they basically don't have to do anything. GIRLS ON THE OTHER HAND!!!! ughhh! You basically feel like a janitor! Not even joking, like some people like the porter shift because you don't have to deal with customers. I don't like it because its gross. Girls you see the nastiest things all the time like you see girl's period pads/tampons, the period smell, toilet paper all over the floor, you have to empty the restroom trash/period trash next to the toilet, mop the restroom floors, fill the soap/paper towels....it really sucks. I cringed when I had a porter shift. And you have to close off the restrooms before you started cleaning, but people would still walk in!!!! soo annoying...and you also have to roll around a big cleaning cart/mop around the theaters from restroom to restroom....real embarrassing...so glad I quit! AND YOU STAY LATE!!!! Like literallly my shift would end at like 10PM and sometimes I would leave until 11:30PM-12AM...Oh and if you close/have a closing shift you won't leave until like 2AM-3AM!!! ughhhhh really sucks!!!!!!!!!!

Pros

Great first job to have Free movies "AMC Bucks": employee incentives you can trade in for prizes or food Regularly did Employee Of The Month Good overall theater company, with various programs that are amazing and fun "Movie night" for employees was a blast!

Cons

Retaliation from certain managers for doing job too well Favoritism rampant within management staff Policy change for loyalty program in 2011, and subsequent push for sales, ended up losing A LOT of good employees for not-so-good reasons
