Politics....There is no standard policy, it changes depending on person Nepotism....If you know key people there, you can place someone at job..No matter if they are worthy. Promotion....You get promotion not on quality of job, depend on your contacts. Culture.....Basically, its not do as I do, its do as I say. Semi-American culture. Micro managed. Managers....Engineering Managers are knowledgeable, but Directors are waste. They dont guide or help develop people. You have to be in there good books to get promotion or extended vacation etc. Benefits.....Salary is sub-par to Industry...No fixed date for bonus, and even the bonus is very paltry. Medical coverage is costly, could have had HDHP plan. Basically, you have to worry\think more than just work. There is no equality. One of the director makes your life miserable if you are travelling for AMI.
