Pros

You will gain amazing experience working with mental health concerns. In no other job would you encounter such diversity in diagnosis.

Cons

Abusive administration that shames employees to cover up their bad practices. If you take a day off be prepared to get interrogated by administration. If you show up for work expect to do the job of at least 3 people because they have a very ineffective substitute system. Emotionally exhausting due to high student needs and manipulation from administration.

Pros

Cafeteria discount, free employee parking, friendly CEO, town hall meetings, $10 birthday voucher, employee pharmacy discount. Working with skeleton crew will help an employee learn how to multitask. Lack of leadership allows for decision making by lower level Employees

Cons

No opportunity for growth. Poor communication between teams and intra-departmental, many unethical violations, many HIPAA violations, unsafe work environment, top heavy, lots of inappropriate racial and sexual conversation by physicians about staff and patients, uneducated supervisors and managers. Poor employee training. Worst salary in Chicagoland area for professionals. Horrible health insurance benefits. Health department violations in cafeteria. Nurses hide medications in drawers manager aware and advises to hide from risk management and Joint Commission. Manager advises risk masters to be sent to physician group inbox and NOT the hospitals risk management team. High post operative infection rate seen in patients. Patients seen after scheduled time. Gossip between managers and employees. Organization will not promote internally if employee is not 7th Day Adventist. Rude physicians. Lots of racial tension in organization. Inefficient staff in almost every department due to poor training. During orientation the organization tells new employees that they spend a lot of money therefor paying them low wages is beneficial to them. They also show the employee race demographics and new employees have to guess where these employees work.
